Jobsearch - Position Vacant - Chef/ Cook

A Mount Gamier business is seeking an experienced Chef/ Cook to join their team in preparing food for the bistro. The position is 38 hours per week predominately Tuesday to Saturday including working split shifts.

Duties will include:       

  • Provide input into preparation of menus and daily specials
  • Cook and present menu items to a high standard
  • Ensure all food safety measures are understood and followed
  • Keep all working area clean and tidy
  • Be well presented at all times


  • Chef Qualifications/ Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery highly desirable
  • Available to work varied shifts on a roster
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for hospitality and interested in the latest food trends
  • Must be customer service driven, with strong communication skills
  • Cope well under pressure and have ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously as well within a team environment
