Jobsearch - position vacant - Chef/ Cook (New)

A Mount Gamier Cafe is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join the team in preparing food for the Café for both lunch & evening meals. Position is casual.

Duties will include:                 

• Provide input into preparation of menus and daily specials
• Cook and present menu items to a high standard
• Ensure all food safety measures are understood and followed
• Keep all working area clean and tidy
• Be well presented at all times

Requirements: 

• Chef qualification ( Cert 3 in commercial Cookery ) highly desirable
• Demonstrate a genuine passion and desire for hospitality and interested in the latest food trends
• Must be customer service driven, with strong communication skills
• Cope well under pressure and have ability to meet deadlines
• Available to work varied shifts on a roster
• Ability to work autonomously as well within a team environment
