Jobsearch - Position Vacant - Freedom of Information & Privacy Officer (Temp)

A Health Department in Mount Gambier is seeking an experienced Freedom of information & Privacy Officer to actively participate as a supportive member of the Department by being responsible for all request made in accordance with the Freedom of information Act.  Position is short term for approx. 6 month placement.

Duties will include:                 

• Manage all freedom of information requests regarding access to documents and amendments/ annotation of personal records.
• Assist with responses to warrants and other compulsive notice and request for information under the national Laws
• Recommend solutions or alternative courses of action within organizational policies and procedures
• Manage the daily operations
• Maintain a database of all FOI and privacy requests

Requirements: 

• Tertiary qualification in governance / compliance /legal or business-related discipline
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in processing Freedom of information and privacy legislation/requirement and the ability to interpret and apply to this
• Team player with a can do attitude ability to collaborate and excellent relationship building skills
