Jobsearch - Position Vacant - Welder/ Fabricator

A Mount Gambier business is seeking a Welder/Fabricator in fabrication, repairs, refurbishments and modification in transport related equipment. Position is casual.

Duties will include:                 

• Fabrication on Trailers
• Medium to heavy gauge welding
• Repair, replace and modify
• Operation of various steel fabrication machines
• Breakdown and preventative maintenance
• Various other duties including spray painting of trailers

Requirements: 

• Welding qualification preferred not essential
• Previous welding experience
• Experience in cutting of steel using various hand tools and equipment
• Experience in the steel industry is desirable
• Previous sheet metal manufacturing experience
• High level of motivation, attention to detail with a sense of urgency
• The ability to follow safe work procedures, adhering to company  policies
• The ability to understand, follow and comply with WHS obligations
