Jobsearch - Position Vacant - Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist

A Mount Gambier Accounting Firm is looking for a friendly and organised Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist to join their team to keep their day-to-day operations running smoothly. Position is Minimum 20hrs per week, Employer considering Fulltime, Part Time and Casual applications.

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:                

  • Welcome clients and visitors and manage the front reception desk
  • Assist with basic office coordination and maintaining reception/common areas
  • Provide general administrative support to accountants and team members
  • Answering and directing inbound phone calls and making outbound calls to clients
  • Handling client enquiries, scheduling and calendar management for the team
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, scanning, filing, and document preparation
  • Monitor and manage multiple Outlook inboxes
  • Support client service tasks as required
  • Additional duties as required

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Including handling multiple inboxes)
  • Experience with XERO Accounting Software is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills — friendly and professional on the phone and in person.
  • Professional presentation suited to a corporate but relaxed office
  • Solid organisational skills with attention to detail

 

Requirements:

  • Provide a cover letter outlining your reasons for applying and addressing the essential qualifications and experience highlighted in the position description
  • Formal qualifications in Business Administration or a related field, and/or 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or reception role at an accounting firm or professional services office are highly advantageous
  • Must have a current satisfactory National Police check or willing to obtain
  • Resume must have contact details for two (2) referees, one of whom is/ was a direct line manager
