Front of House/ Kitchenhand

A Mount Gambier Restaurant seeks a front of house/ kitchenhand. Position is Casual.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:                

• Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Providing prompt and attentive table service, taking orders and delivering food and beverages
• Maintaining a clean and organised front of house area
• Handling cash and card transactions accurately
• Assisting with additional tasks as required to support the kitchen and management team
• Operating POS and handling cash and card transactions
• Taking customer orders accurately and confidently
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the front counter

Skills and Abilities:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Confident, friendly, and well-presented
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
• Previous experience in a similar customer-facing role within the hospitality industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
