School Cleaner

A Cleaning contractor is seeking a School Cleaner. Hours are Monday to Friday working 3 hours per day with late afternoon start time.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise restrooms, classrooms, offices, and communal spaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Maintain and care for cleaning equipment, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Respond promptly to any urgent cleaning needs.
• Working autonomously with little supervision & commitment to safe work practices

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to obtain a Working with Children number & ability to pass a Police Check
• Must be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job
• Previous cleaning experience preferred, but not essential – training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
