Jobsearch - Position Vacant - Fire Tower Operator

A Contractor is seeking a Fire Tower Operator  to work  during core bush  fire season ( January – April ) . The position is casual working from depot site.

Duties will include:                 

• Read maps accurately and give accurate bearings and landmarks
• Keeping accurate records
• Providing early detection of fires
• Read weather monitoring devices
• System checks
• Radio Communications
• On the Job Training will be provided

Requirements: 

• Previous experience in a Fire  training or equivalent is  desirable
• Hold a current Drivers licence
• Ability to work isolated and unsupervised
• Ability to work based on weather conditions, is willing and available up to 7 days per week.
