A Veterinary Clinic in Mount Gambier requires an experienced Veterinary Nurse to provide a high level of customer service and animal care to its clients. Position is 4 days a week plus every 2nd Saturday morning.
Duties will include:
Co-ordinating Clinic admissions
Assist during consultation, examination and treatments
Preparing and providing support for surgical procedures
Nursing hospitalised animals, monitor critical signs and communicate with vets and owners
Performing and recording pathology procedures, assist with diagnostic laboratory tests and post mortem procedures
Carry out medical nursing routines and procedure
Cleaning, maintaining and storage of instruments, equipment and supplies
Perform reception duties including recording and maintaining clinical and office records
General cleaning and house-keeping duties
Requirements:
A Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or Australian recognised equivalent)
High standard and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain efficiency
The ability to work autonomously as well as work within a team
Ability to handle animals with confidence and patience
The ability to work confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations
Demonstrate a highly professional attitude, follow instruction and be well presented
Knowledge of RX Works highly desirable
Excellent communication and customer service skills
